David Lee Anderson - Fine Art and Illustration

An acrylic original on 18” X 24” gessoed masonite, this is a realistic version of the Colossus. It was commissioned for Lands & Legends, an anthology of fantasy illustration, edited by Michael and Malcolm Phifer. It was about 100 feet tall, and stood on a round pedestal on a jetty that stretched out into the harbor of Rhodes.
