David Lee Anderson - Fine Art and Illustration

Another small painting to share of my lovely wife Carolyn Novotny-Anderson, showing another side of her talents. She grows much of the fresh food we have for dinner about seven or so months of the year. We started a garden in our backyard after we lost some trees to an ice storm in 2006, but we had a garden at her dad's farm in Chickasha for many years when our kids were young. I'd often ask them "Where's Mom?" and they'd reply, "Oh, she's out hoeing around," thus providing the title of this work.
