Villa Teresa Preschool

Villa Teresa School was started in 1933 by the Carmelite Sisters of St. Therese. The convent and school campus is located near downtown Oklahoma City. My three children Nathan, Julia, and Emma, all worked at Villa Teresa when they were in high school, and our family has maintained longtime relationships with some of the sisters, particularly Sr. Veronica Higgins and Sr. Stephanie Sanchez. This is a painting of one of the main buildings my kids worked in. The Preschool was originally a house, built in the early twentieth century, I'm guessing 1917-1920, by a family named Lowry, who were oil and gas investors in eastern Oklahoma.
